MySQL Password help

Hi, im fairly new to working with mysql and phpmyadmin etc...
Anyway, im using WOS Portable II and the other day i was messing around with the settings in phpmyadmin and changed the passwords.

Anyway, everytime i try to log into phpmyadmin i get the error

"phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server."

and underneath it says

MySQL said:

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

Ive done some googling and a few posts pointed to changing stuff in the config.inc file.
Sadly i couldnt get this to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated in terms of helping me resett the passwords to the default value
